Californian tech-honcho Apple is likely to roll out its 7-inch Apple iPad Mini in the second half of 2012, so that users could lay hands over it by Christmas. It has been recently claimed by Taiwan news outlet Liberty Times.
According
to report, the company is all set to launch this mini iPad at the end of 3rd quarter. It has been also targeting to sale around 6 million units, which was already predicted by a Chinese online portal Netease in April 2012.
LG and Au Optronics are engaged in developing the iPad Mini LCD panel after passing the Apple’s certification tests so that these could be shipped on time. As per a Japanese blog site Macotakara, TPK Holding is planning to churn out 4 million backlight modules, while Chimei Innolux would be providing extra 2 million modules.
In addition to this, Nissha Printing is also making touch film sensors for Apple iPad Mini, which would pack 8GB storage and is likely to set back between $249 and $299.
Apple iPad has got a slight competition from Amazon’s 7-inch Kindle Fire in the fourth quarter of last year. After that, Apple has striven to regain its lost share. As per his, currently Apple is holding nearly 61% share of the tablet market all around the world in 2012.

7-inch Apple iPad Mini is expected to take on the rivalry with Kindle Fire and other smaller Android tablets. But, Apple has been in the habit of following its own trends rather than of others. Considering this point, it seems that Apple would be releasing some other kinds of iPad mini more to lure away the Android tablets fans.
